I
started my
business after my third daughter was born. I knew I wanted to quit
my full time job as a tax accountant and venture into something new
without paying to put my 3 daughters in day care, dry cleaning, and
take out food.
When my best friend, Joyce, sent me the
catalog and recruit packet, I had no idea what I was looking at and
placed it all between my cookbooks. Rarely reaching for those
cookbooks, I also rarely thought about
,
until one day I went to the craft store to get poster board and
heard a lot of ladies making a fuss over wanting to learn how to
stamp. Immediately, I thought that this could be a great business
opportunity if I could just learn how to stamp.
Owning one
stamp ("Home Tweet Home") and one ink pad (Brilliant Blue), I not
only thought I could stamp, but was thrilled that I made 25 "Just
Moved" post cards. I went on to emboss 50 Baby Announcements. My
attitude was pretty much, "Okay, I love this. This is cool. I want
to do this now and learn as I go along." My friends, I am still
learning!
My
husband, Jake, (whom I amuse each day with this, I'm sure) told me
to "go for it" at the beginning. He has been patient and supportive.
For that, I have earned 9 out of 10 Cruises and brought him with me
on each trip I opted to take. We've taken our daughters on 3.
is amazingly generous and has showered us with rewards. God has been
so good to us!
My beginning with
followed a move and a new baby. But over the past 10 years, I was to
experience 3 more moves, no more babies. I love I can take this
business with me wherever I go and that I am my own boss. My career
personal sales went over 500K last year and I have recruited over
180 demonstrators to join in on the fun.
I am passionate about what I do, love that it goes alongside my
family life, and truly am blessed with the great people I've met and
get to support in my group.
This is a little about me. Let me share some pictures with you.
